We are currently seeking a Production Coordinator to assist in the Machine Shop, for a client of ours, who specializes in aftermarket automotive parts. This is a 2nd shift opportunity and the pay for this position starts out at $20 hourly and goes up based on experience.

Duties of a Production Coordinator include:

  • Ensure that all metrics are completed & posted on time.
  • Ensure that all areas under your control adhere to the 5S system..
  • Ensure that quality documents and/or manuals are the correct revision and available.
  • Ensure that all quality checks are performed and recorded.
  • Ensure that accurate quality records are stored correctly.
  • Ensure that work instructions are available and followed
  • Ensure that all production is supported by a Production Work Order.
  • Ensure that all production is reported on time.
  • Ensure that inventory discrepancies are adjusted and reported using the appropriate forms and accounts.
  • Ensure that parts are correctly labeled.
  • Review and correct negative items report.
  • Review history trends and adjust as required.
  • Review Item maintenance and Item location and adjust as required.
  • Ensure inventory is transferred to and from locations accurately.
  • Ensure that all records are filed and stored correctly.
  • Ensure that planned orders are reviewed and changes made as applicable.
  • Production schedulers also analyze past and present data to generate reports and create more effective schedules.
  • They are usually on-call in case of production problems that need to be resolved immediately
  • Schedule the production process and departmental activities relating to material, employee, and equipment availability 
  • Monitor production process, workflow, and schedules to ensure on-time delivery
  • Production schedulers are responsible for coordinating and developing production schedules on a daily or weekly basis to meet company goals. They take stock of inventory levels and facilitate providing necessary materials and components. Sometimes, production schedulers are also responsible for managing product delivery to vendors
