Our client in Kalamazoo is looking to bring on experienced candidates for a Quality Assurance Inspector position on 2nd and 3rd Shift in their manufacturing warehouse where your safety is a priority.

  • 2nd Shift: 2:00pm-10:30pm M-F
  • 3rd Shift: 10:00pm-6:30pm Sunday-Thursday
  • Pay: 15.00 per hour
  • Temp to Hire opportunity

Quality Assurance Inspector Job Duties:

  • Inspects parts at different stages of production (receiving, buffing or post-anodize final inspection) to assure customer-acceptable quality level
  • Conduct quality audits of packaged product.
  • Trains anodize inspectors on proper techniques and customer criteria.
  • May inspect other non-WKW products.
  • Conduct special projects for data collection or process improvement at direction of Quality Manager or Quality Engineer.
  • Assists in tracking and assessing of test loads being run through buffing and/or anodizing.
  • Observes rackers are practicing safe habits and not damaging parts, as well as, inspecting incoming product for defects.
  • Carry over “roving inspections” of passable product, to be reworked product, and scrap product in the buffing and anodizing departments ensuring parts are being categorized correctly by all employees.

Job Requirements

• Knowledge of VDA inspection criteria.

• Ability to stand up 8 hours, including up to 2 hours at a time. •

Job requires frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and repetitive motion of hands.

• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs, frequently lifts 10 – 20 lbs.

• Job requires basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication & division), reading and writing English. Must be able to read ruler measurements.

• Familiar with Quality Management System (QMS) for IATF requirements and Environmental Management System (EMS) for ISO 14001 (2015)
