Location: Washington, IN

Pay: $15/hr. with raise every 6 months

Day shift: 7:00AM - 7:00PM

Exam will be taken in office prior to acceptance with client interview to follow.

 

Job Summary:

QA Assistants help the Quality Manger with day to day activities.  They also play a big role in validation and verification of the SQF Management system.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up new items.
  • Go through NCM’s and retest if needed to help with disposition.
  • Complaint research support and testing.
  • Assist in making up and printing job jackets.
  • Responsible for retain bins.
  • Lab support when they get busy.
  • Cover vacations and call outs.
  • Calibrate lab equipment.
  • Train new operators on the retain bin procedure for Production
  • Special testing as needed to support customer complaints or any other needs.
  • Validate and verify corrective and preventative actions, pre-requisite programs and processes associated with Food Safety and Quality programs.
  • Assist with training for new employees.
  • Verify rolls are being placed in hold area.
  • Update COA list

Job Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum of 6 months on the job training.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.  Ability to complete reports and forms associated with the position:  Ability to communicate effectively orally, and in writing.

 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusion. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.  Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations:  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
