Job Description

Reporting to the Materials Manager, the Warehouse Specialist is responsible for coordinating the raw materials, parts and finished products warehouse and production areas. Ensures material inventory, collects and analyzes data to inform Materials Manager helping to supply all materials.

  • Coordinates and expedites flow of materials, parts and assemblies between sections or departments, according to production and shipping schedules or department priorities, and compiles and maintains manual or computerized records: Reviews production schedules and related information and confers with department supervisors to determine material requirements to identify overdue materials and to track material.
  • Counts parts, material or supplies in stock and posts totals to inventory records, manually or using computer, such as material inventory, in-process production reports, and status and location of materials.
  • Compares inventory counts to open purchase orders to determine material requisitions.
  • Compiles and communicates information for adding or changing material/product information
  • Reviews reports, such as inventory balance, inventory usage.
  • Prepares list of obsolete items and recommends reviews of defective or unusable items.
  • Research and resolve inventory inaccuracies.
  • Perform material counting and inventories.
  • Load and unload material, from / to trucks and warehouse.
  • Drive a commercial truck when requires any delivery or pick up.
  • May perform other duties assigned.
  • Must be able to work irregular or extended hours, including weekends and nights as needed.
