Now Hiring Engine Lathe Manual Machinist in Tulsa!
Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm with overtime as required, including Saturdays
Pay: $20 & up (Depending on experience)
Reads shop router, rough-in print, and customer print for specifications, such as dimensions and tolerances, basic operation sequence, and general part information and then plans the sequence of specific operations.
Selects and then positions and secures tools in holders, using wrenches
Lifts work piece manually or with hoist and positions and secures work piece in holding device, machine table, chuck, or fixture, using clamps and wrenches.
Determines and sets required rotation speed, feed rate, and depth of cut, and positions tool in relation to work piece.
Starts machine, turns hand wheels to feed tool to work piece, directs appropriate coolant to the work piece and engages feed.
Observes cutting action of machine to detect excessive wear or malfunction and disengages feed at the appropriate time.
Verifies dimensions for conformance to specifications, using such measuring instruments as micrometers, dial indicators, calipers, and fixed gages, as required.
Capable of lifting tools and work piece—Not more than 40 pounds.
