Maintenance Mechanic   

Are you looking for a challenge to fine-tune your skills and grow with a local manufacturer in the Granite City, IL area? We are partnering with a local, leading global flexible packaging company, searching for a mechanically inclined Maintenance Mechanic.

You will be tasked with assisting with facility repairs and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatic tools, conveyer systems, production machines and equipment. 

 This is a rotating 3-2-2-3 overnight 7pm-7am shift

$24 hour+ Depending on Experience

• Ability to perform maintenance on equipment and facility including - electronic, electrical and mechanical installations 
• Ability to inspect and diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs as needed - calibrating level, pressure, temperature and flow measuring instruments 
• Ability to work with electronic controls and circuits, hard wiring relay logic systems and process instrumentation 
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and process control diagrams 
• Ability to assemble and dismantle equipment or machinery
• Ability to read blueprints and equipment manuals 
• Dependable and good organizational skills 
• Strong safety awareness at all times

Job Requirements

• 1-3 year's experience 
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Associate Degree or Trade School Certificate preferred 
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bending, stooping
• Ability to work in heights 
• Proficient with Microsoft Suite(Word, Excel, Power Point), Outlook email
• Ability to work outside of scope of maintenance in production areas
