ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Successfully complete required PGT environmental, health & safety training, and adhere to established site procedures
Provide direct front-line support of site manufacturing assets through preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance activities
Follow established Operational Reliability procedures for maintenance work execution
Execute assigned maintenance work within planned timeframes
Conduct advanced mechanical, electrical, and control systems troubleshooting
Execute assigned preventive maintenance work by following established procedures
Utilize eMaint computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to log labor hours, account for spare parts, provide comments regarding work completed, and to document needed follow up maintenance work
Utilize PGT-provided specialty tools, and self-provided general maintenance tools to effectively complete maintenance work
Work closely with PGT operations and quality team members to clean, inspect and test equipment following completion of maintenance activities
Work on assigned projects involving equipment installation or major asset reconditioning
Conduct troubleshooting and advanced repairs of manufacturing equipment utility systems such as pneumatic, electrical, water, and hydraulic systems
Provide training and mentoring for lower level mechanics and automation technicians
Job Requirements
Basic English language skills: reading, writing, & spoken communication
Bilingual language skills with Spanish or Haitian Creole is a plus.
