A diesel engine manufacturer in Azusa is seeking a material handler. 

Schedule: Mon-Fri 6am-2:30pm occasional overtime

Pay Rate: $15.00-$16.00/hr 

• Operate forklift to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials; position forks, lifting platform, or other lifting device under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, boxes, products, and transport load to designated area; load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, skids, or lifting device.     
• Sort boxes of material by product type; obtain, move and deliver material to welders and tube benders either manually or by forklift for the purpose of completing daily production.
• Inventory materials on work floor; supply workers with materials as needed; remove unused material at the end of the shift.
• Review the hot list and production list to determine daily work priorities; monitor open work orders; expedite parts received for past due work orders; close out work orders.
• Gather finished products and transport them for inspection.
• Assist Shop Supervisor with assigning work priorities to welders and tube benders.
• Complete daily forklift checklist; perform light maintenance as needed. 
• Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing material and bundles of tubing.  Check for and report shortages and/or damaged materials.
• Move and store a variety of material, parts, or products.  Transfer material between departments using hand or power truck.  Stack and arrange material as directed while adhering to safety guidelines
• Organize work area; maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhere to safety policies and procedures.

Job Requirements

• Shop related experience preferred 
• 1-2 Years of experience in manufacturing
• Experience with tube bending, welding knowledge, assembly, shipping and shop knowledge preferred 
• lifting up to 50lbs 
• some computer knowledge
