General Summary:


This position reports to the Warehouse Manager. As Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsible for all activities performed by the entire warehouse team of your assigned shift. This position needs to interact with multiple departments and all levels of the organization in order to effectively meet goals and objectives. The warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all personnel in the dry warehouse, the frozen warehouse, and the production freezers. More specifically you are responsible for ensuring that all warehouse areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner, that inventory exchanged with production is issued complete and timely, that inventory transferred from production to warehouse is accurate, that orders are shipped complete, that any shortages are reported in a timely manner, for training and assessing team member skill sets, enforcing GMP’s (good manufacturing practices), and preserving the 3 Pillars Report your daily progress to the Warehouse Manager. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Conduct an effective hand-off from shift to shift at the beginning and end of each day
  • Perform daily roll call and shift round up, report truancy to the Warehouse Manager
  • Effectively communicate daily goals and objectives to the team
  • Ensure that production pick sheets are delivered complete and on time in accordance to schedule
  • Monitor and provide your subordinates feedback based on performance, specific to the inventory exchange between production and warehouse personnel, warehouse appearance, inventory accuracy, inbound/outbound service, and BOL’s shipped complete
  • Educate team members and enforce company policy as described in the Brothers Employee Handbook
  • Ensure that all team members maintain personal hygiene and cleanliness
  • Educate and positively reinforce proper personal conduct of team members, reprimand negative behavior when necessary
  • Enforce company time clock rules
  • Educate and promote GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • Educate and promote proper body mechanics and ergonomics to team members
  • Ensure that team members maintain clean work areas, especially but not limited to the warehouses, employee locker room, employee break room, employee restroom, and shipping/receiving areas
  • Educate and enforce the 3 Pillars   
    • SAFETY (personal safety, food safety, equipment safety)
    • QUALITY (any question? ALWAYS ASK)
    • EFFICIENCY (maximizing output, while minimizing waste)
  • Take immediate action in any situation that may compromise any of the 3 Pillars
  • Manage and reduce waste
  • Monitor and evaluate team member Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats  (S.W.O.T. analysis)
  • Perform employee reviews and review with management
  • Recommend and carry out team member promotions, disciplinary reviews and terminations



Supervisory Responsibilities:


Oversees the Warehouse locations and functions while supervising multiple direct reports.  Responsible for the overall performance management of the department including monitoring attendance, disciplinary actions, employee reviews and recommendations related to the staffing of the department.


Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:


  • High school diploma, or equivalent
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a supervisor or manager
  • 2-5 years of warehouse experience
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule as needed possibly including days, nights, weekdays, weekends, holidays
  • Must be willing to work more than 8 hours when needed
  • Show up to work with a positive attitude ready to work
  • Forklift Operation Certification


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Food manufacturing experience is a plus
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) a plus


Physical Requirements:


  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50-75 lbs
  • Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
  • Noise level in the work environment is considered to be moderate to loud; PPE is required as needed.
