A welding technology manufacturer located in Monrovia is in need of a Shipping Clerk.
Monday-Friday, Weekends and Overtime as needed
$17-19 DOE
1st shift
Responsibilities:
Packing and crating product per specification
Bills of Lading, Airway Bills, SLI’s, SED’s, Commercial Invoices and other documents as required for all orders shipping on the current day and three to five working days in advance
AES Filing
Export Compliance verification, reporting and records keeping
Review future Orders/Projects for shipping and delivery instructions.
Coordinate obtaining weights and dimensions for quotations and determine appropriate shipping methods.
Prepare, document, and maintain records, for all freight quotations
Assist and coordinate with customer service on orders shipping status.
Initiate and follow up freight claims as required
Examine contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
Pick, pack, seal, prepare shipping labels & apply proper postage for outgoing customer shipments as necessary
Job Requirements
Must be familiar with export terminology such as EXWORKS, DDP, DDU, CIF
A minimum of 3-4 years experience as a clerk handling shipping documents
Able to lift 60 lbs
Experience using Microsoft Internet Explorer, Windows operating system, & advance computer applications
Must have a valid California Driver License
Computer interfacing skills on shipping module (Fed Ex, UPS), ERP, business packages (word, excel, etc)
Ten key entry and typing skills
Skills to count product quantity by applying pre-established unit of measure
High level of comprehension (read and understand customer requirements, CS instructions, finance instructions, etc)
Must be familiar with complying with NAFTA Regulations, INCOTERMS, and other procedures common with exporting materials.
