CNC Machinist - Injection mold Tooling
Candidate must be a high level CNC machinist who knows how to manufacture injection mold tooling with extremely tight tolerances. Candidate must know how to program in Mastercam and machine injection mold tooling using a Haas 3 axis CNC mill. Candidate must have strong knowledge about the injection process and understand completely how a mold base functions to produce parts.
Must have experience in CNC machining injection mold tooling
Must be an expert at programming with Mastercam
Cut and prepare stock for machining
Given a 3D model, create all setups and toolpaths necessary to machine it
Properly indicate and setup parts on CNC
Machine parts to dimension
Make adjustments to program and offsets to ensure parts are made to specification
Measure parts accurately to ensure that tolerances are met
Clean up and deburr parts
Complete full maintenance on CNC machine.
Description: The CNC Machinist will program and run a 3 axis vertical Haas mill to machine injection mold tooling. The CNC machinist will receive 3D part drawings from head engineer and be expected to independently machine the parts to specification.
Physical Limitations: Work may require bending, lifting up to fifty (50) pounds, pulling, pushing, sitting, reaching, and standing for up to eight (8) hours per day.
Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma, technical school degree, or equivalent. Minimum 5 Years of Experience setting up CNC Mill machines (Fanuc and Haas controls).
