An amazing client of ours, located in Jackson, MI is currently in need of a 1st shift Industrial Electrician at their manufacturing factory/warehouse. This is a 1st shift position and pay is based on experience, ranging between $18-$30 hourly. The Industrial Electrician must be flexible and a team player.

Job Duties of the Industrial Electrician include:

  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of flow controls, relays, timers, motors, power circuits, and control equipment. Replacing electrical receptacles, switches, fixtures, and wires.
  • Ability to working standard computations relating to load requirements of wiring or electrical equipment; and using a variety of electrician's hand tools and measuring and testing instruments
  • Plan the layout and installation of electrical conduit, wiring, equipment, or fixtures based on job specifications and local codes.
  • Applicants should have the ability to read plans and drawings and apply knowledge of the relevant safety procedures and requirements.
  • Two, three, and five ton electric hoist troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic system repair. Steam, plumbing and pipe fitting.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of forklifts.
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance of various pumps.
  • Blue print reading. Machine shop knowledge is helpful.
  • Troubleshooting and maintaining 150 St. pressure gas fired boiler.


Job Requirements

  • Be proficient in using Microsoft Office, Excel, and Word.
  • The Electrician/Maintenance Specialist requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training, experience, and certifications.
  • Five to seven years experience in industrial maintenance.
