A local metal fabrication company is looking for a CMM Technician. This position reports to the Director of Quality. The CMM Technician will perform a wide range of complex activities related to customer satisfaction. This position includes serving as a liaison between manufacturing personnel and its customers. Duties include interacting with operators as needed and ensuring complete compliance with the customers needs. 

Job Description for a CMM Technician:

• Measure and record product/assembly dimensions for acceptance.
• Competent in the use of CMM, touch probe/rotary head and PC-DMIS measurement software.
• Understand and interpret GD&T
• Prepare PPAP, ISIR, and process documentation.
• Perform gage calibration and maintain calibration system.
• Review and inspect incoming material as needed.

Shift Details and Pay Rate for CMM Technician:

• 1st shift
• Pay based on experience payrate range $20-$25/hr.

Job Requirements

CMM Technician Qualifications:

Any combination of education and experience that would provide the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.

• Sufficient formal or informal education to assure the ability to perform at a level required for successful job performance.
• Experience to perform the functions of a CMM Technician may be substituted for a formal education.
• Experience in the operation and maintenance of CMM and precision measurement instruments/tools.
• Proficient in the use of CMM measurement software preferably PC-DMIS.
