Optics Assembly Tech

Hours: 7:30 am-4 pm

Shift: Monday-Friday

Pay: $13.50/hour

Job Responsibilities:

• Learn the basic optical shaping/fabrication techniques, using the equipment to produce substrates for customers.
• Level 1 shaping technicians will learn and become proficient at various techniques such as blocking, beveling, milling, grinding and edging.
• We will teach the following: shaping, cleaning, measurement and the proper handling of optics.
• We will teach measurement techniques.

Job Requirements:

• Previous Optics experience required
• High School Diploma/GED
• Perform basic match calculations and conversions. 
• Be able to read and understand a variety of job-related instructions and documents.
• Must be detail oriented, be able to work under time and productions restrictions, communicate effectively, ensure consistency in work and perform repetitive tasks with consistency.
• We will teach candidates to visually evaluate optics for scratches, marks and other possible problems and they pertain the shaping function.
