Assemblers Immediately Needed in LaFollette Area! 

1st shift

7am- 3:30pm

$12.27/hour 

SUMMARY

Assemble surgical trays or acute care products partially or completely by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Conduct operations in accordance with safety requirements and standard operating procedures.
• Read and follow oral and/or written directions; complete all necessary paperwork accurately and timely; must be able to count accurately.
• Position parts according to shoot and paste and by following work order or shoot and paste instructions.
• Check to ensure all items or material used meet quality specifications as outlined by the work order.
• Verify correct items and quantities have been pulled from warehouse shelves according to work order parts list.
• Count, inspect and clean components as instructed.
• Breakdown raw materials for the main assembly line, if assigned.
• Place assembled tray at end of tray line to await wrapping and packaging, if assigned.
• Wrap assembled surgical trays in back table covers and label, if assigned.
• Pouch finished trays and operate heat sealing machine, if assigned; complete all necessary paperwork; check for voids in seals and pouch damage.
• Work at a consistent pace to ensure a steady flow.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner following prescribed work methods.
• Arrive at work on time and comply with company attendance and tardiness policies.
• Possess ability to get along with co-workers, customers and company visitors.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor, which may include duties in other departments.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED); or less than high school education with one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.  Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.  Ability to perform these operations using units of weight, measurement, volume, and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles. Work environment is an air conditioned clean room.  Due to the nature of the products being assembled; most jewelry, false fingernails and fingernail polish are prohibited.  Light make-up can be worn.  Smocks and hair nets must be worn at all times. Beard covers, if applicable, may be required.  The noise level in environment is usually moderate.
