Description

ResourceMFG has immediate, temp to hire openings for a 2nd Shift Industrial sewing machine operator / Seamstress. Qualified candidates will have at least 1 year recent sewing experience. 

Pay starts at $17-25.75/hr based on experience. 

2nd shift - Monday - Friday 3 pm - 11:30 pm

Duties include:

  • Under limited supervision, will perform sewing functions to include daily production of seat covers in Single Needle, Double Needle, Cluster or assigned area. 
  • Draw threads through needles and adjust machine functions to meet the requirements of the sewing project
  • Follow instructions provided verbally, in writing or via electronic device to complete sewing work order according to pattern with acceptable quality
  • Attach button, grips, hooks and fasteners to finished garments
  • Attach elastic, binding or tape to garments as specified in the work order
  • Ensure that the finished product conforms to the design and merchandizing instructions provided in the work order
  • Perform daily maintenance on machines in area as assigned.
  • Follow instructions and complete other work as assigned

 

 

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • 1 year sewing experience in Single Needle.
  • Must have 20/20 vision or corrected to 20/20.
  • Must be able to perceive colors and shades of colors.
  • Must be able to stand full shift
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to reach, stretch and bend.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with priorities that may change frequently
  • Some computer knowledge and able to utilize shop floor data collection systems which may include data entry into a tablet or computer
  • Show knowledgeable use of sewing machine.  (i.e., changing needle, changing thread as well as bobbins)
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve daily production goals
  • Ability to solve problems and work with a team to continuously improve production processes.
