Description

We are seeking an experienced PCB Test Technician for a PCB manufacturer in Longmont. This can be a temp to hire or direct hire position!

Qualified candidates will have at least 2 yrs. of test tech experience and will be able to troubleshoot printed circuit board assemblies to component level rejects or identify issues as engineering anomalies before final disposition to operations and/or test engineering.

Pay is $19-21/hr based on experience 

Shift - 1st shift Monday - Friday 7 am - 3:30 pm

Job Duties Include:

  • Identify faulted components or manufacturing defects on production printed circuit boards (down to the component level) and submit for re-work.
  • Read, interpret, and react to schematics for the troubleshooting process.
  • Test production printed circuit boards to include but not limited to functional, boundary scan, as well as programming memory device tests.
  • Run software backups, diagnostics and preventive maintenance on tester control computers; identify signs of viruses or excessive fragmenting and clean them when needed.
  • Support the production test operator training and certification program.
  • Support test engineering development projects as required.
  • Participate in test process and test station improvements, efficiencies, and safety.
  • Regularly work with peers in resolving difficult troubleshooting details.
  • Create test reports that accurately describe test results and any other findings observed during test and/or troubleshooting processes

Job Requirements

  • Highly computer literate
  • Good deductive reasoning, ability to think out of the box, and design new tests to accurately trap (new, or) difficult failure modes.
  • Clear and comprehensive verbal communication
  • 2-5 years’ experience with RF Circuitry
  • AA/AS Degree in Electronic Technology or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Experience operating test equipment not limited to HP 3070 and Genrad.
