Now Hiring a Quality Technician for a home building manufacturing Company in Gwinnett County.  This position requires a 90 day probation period for full time employment.  Our Client supplies Retail, Residential and Commercial consumers.  They supply national and international industries.

 

Shift: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Location: Duluth GA

Pay Rate: $17 - $20

Temp to Hire: Yes

 

  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following 

  • Perform first article inspection and FAI layouts on new and revised parts and components.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and it is application to the measurement process is critical for this position.
  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of purchased parts, fabricated parts, stamped parts, components, assemblies and materials using calibrated equipment.
  • Complete FAI reports with all dimensions and submit to Quality Engineer for data entry verifications. Ensure that PPAP and FAI's reports meet customer and/or internal requirements.
  • Generate regular inspection reports (History Cards) as required.
  • Generate Initial Process Flow Diagram, Control Plan and Failure Mode and Risk Analysis.
  • Initiate, track, document nonconformance reports (NC's).
  • Complete Measurements for statistical process controls, capability studies, and MSA (Gage R&R) as applicable for key characteristics specified on customer prints and/or customer specs when required.
  • Learn and work in critical modules in QMS database UniPoint (NC, CPA, Inspection and Test, Internal Audit, Calibration)
  • Perform Incoming, In Process Inspection and Final Audit to ensure that products are meeting all engineering specifications.

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspection of purchased parts, fabricated parts, stamped parts, components, assemblies and materials using calibrated equipment.
  • Perform Gage Calibration, when required.

 

Required Quality Technician Knowledge

  • Strong Math Skills
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and IATF 16949
  • Experience in Manufacturing and with Metal Stamping and Fabrication (Laser Cutting, Forming, Welding and Assembly Process)
  • 4 plus Years of performing close tolerance mechanical inspections
  • GD & T (ability to read, interpret and apply GD & T call outs to the measurement process)
  • Strong Computer Literacy with Microsoft Office

 

Education:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or Equivalent
