We are looking to hire a Recycle Line Operator for Valfilm in Findlay, OH!

Shift: Nights

Hours: 7:30p to 7:30a

Pay: $15.00

SUMMARY Tends and operates machines that cut and regrind scrap plastic materials.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Retrieves scrap materials from storage areas and relocates to recycle line area utilizing forklift or other equipment
  • Utilizes machinery to properly place materials on cutting tables, spindles, and other job aid equipment
  • Utilizes cutting machine to safely and effectively break materials down into smaller sections
  • Loads scrap materials onto conveyor and monitors the processing through recycle line
  • Monitors operation of recycle line to ensure timely processing, avoiding machine overload, overheat, or meltdown
  • Monitors ending recycled products to ensure quality and conducts routine quality testing, filing them properly as states the recycled resins procedure.
  • Uses scale to weigh boxes and/or supersacks filled with recycled pellets and assign them in MRP to the correct job number
  • Troubleshoots basic machine issues or elevates to shift supervisor/maintenance team member

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent/GED; 1+ year experience in manufacturing environment required. Forklift and machine troubleshooting experience strongly preferred.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to utilize PLEX or other similar ERP Manufacturing software.
