The Client

One of the world’s largest designers, marketers, and manufacturers of branded academic, consumer, and business products.

The Need

ACCO needed to bring back order fulfillment to 100% to manage the increase in demand of their products.

The Solution

ResourceMFG acted quickly and skillfully as ACCO’s hiring partner.On the Wednesday before the Memorial Day holiday, ACCO Brands reached out with their primary question: What do we need to do to reach 100% order fulfillment?

  1. Pay Rate Study

    We did a pay rate study in their ZIP code to determine what pay scale would get them to their employee goal.

  2. Pay Increase

    Based on analysis of that data, we advised them that pay should be increased from $11 to $20 per hour.

  3. Application Process

    We posted the job, then followed up over the weekend to encourage every applicant to complete the application process and be ready for screening on the Tuesday after the holiday.

  4. Recruitment Process

    We handled the smallest details, organizing the lines for orientation paperwork, drug screening, employee badges, parking passes — even providing a pen for paperwork.

The Outcome

After working with us, the client saw these outcomes:

    A total of 117 positions were filed over a holiday weekend.

  2. New Hires

    New hires were fully equipped and orientated

  3. Fill Rates

    The fill rate soured from 55% in May to 100% in June.
