ResourceMFG Search Group is very excited to present the following opportunity for a Display Designer position in Louisville, KY!


  • Manage projects independently based on established timelines
  • Participate in presentations to potential clients or with existing clients as required
  • Support RFQ activities, either through spec development or Design Brief completion
  • Work closely with cross-functional groups to communicate the status of all work in process
  • Acquire and maintain a working knowledge of company’s entire equipment portfolio – including capabilities and limitations, particularly as they impact design
  • Communicate directly with customers, sales representatives, and project management to deliver superior packaging solutions
  • Created rendered concepts of both primary/secondary packaging and point of purchase temporary displays
  • Create rendered concepts and develop specifications for Thermoform components for quoting and/or production. Specifications will need to include all appropriate dimensions, drafts, and radiuses
  • Create rendered concepts and develop specifications for Semi-Permanent and Permanent displays for quoting and/or production. Specifications must clearly define expectations – both size, material, and packaging
  • Create structure samples for fit, form, functions, and labor cost analysis
  • Interact with tooling vendors on cutting dies and printing plates to clarify and validate design direction as it would apply to functionality and quality during manufacturing
  • Create full artwork samples as required
  • Perform ship tests as required to validate package/display design
  • Source and manage flow of outside testing support as required by clients
  • Create original artwork as needed to support renderings, samples, and/or production
  • Manipulate customer supplied artwork for use in renderings, samples, and/or production
  • Manipulate customers’ supplied solid model files to create renderings, primary packaging, thermoform components, prototypes
  • Release required manufacturing production files, including structural drawings, CAD files, 100% art files, print cards, label cards, and assembly instructions
  • Maintain division website
  • Create and maintain marketing materials
  • Conduct research on current market trends, software innovations, and display applications
  • Provide training to Designers at Plant location to enhance abilities in support of Display packaging

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Innovative approach to problem-solving
  • Computer literacy required – Graphics software, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, CAD software, Artios or Score!, AutoCAD, 3D modeling, Visualization software, 3D Studio, Alias, FormZ
  • Technical Knowledge – working knowledge in areas such as: Thermoforming, Semi- & Permanent displays, corrugated converting facilities, offset printing, web design
  • High School Diploma – 4-year college preferred in Graphic Arts, Industrial Design or Packaging Engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience required
