ResourceMFG Search Group is very excited to present the following opportunity for a Production Manager position in Firestone, CO!

Highest level operations position responsible for operations management to include Plastic Injection Molding, process engineering, and facilities maintenance. Assists in the process of estimating costs for tooling and production. Ensures that schedules for production of all products are completed to customer requests. Ensures compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations for manufacturing. Responsible for accuracy in inventory management


  • Develops, coordinates, and manages all operating systems and personnel involved in production of plastic injection molded components including manufacturing operations, facilities, and manufacturing engineering.
  • Defines and directs manufacturing and facility utilization
  • Oversees the production of parts to customer specification and within specific time frames
  • Compiles, develops, and generates reports of manufacturing progress
  • Develops, maintains, and monitors an operating, manufacturing budget
  • Ensures compliance with manufacturing and safety procedures
  • Responds to emergencies in the manufacturing areas as necessary
  • Makes recommendations, and implements all policies and procedures to be used in the production of plastic injection molded parts
  • Oversees costing activities related to customer requests
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of state-of-the-art products related to Plastic injection molding to ensure that the company remains in the forefront of this product area
    Researches, selects, analyzes, and writes justifications for all production capital equipment

May perform other administrative or technical duties associated with production as requested or required by the GM
Manages subordinate exempt managers throughout Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Facilities; is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this area.

Job Requirements


  • BS degree in engineering, business, or directly related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Working knowledge and understanding of principles of production
  • Working knowledge and understanding of the plastic industry production and quality standards and processes
  • In-depth knowledge of competitive processes such as plastic molding, machining, casting, and die casting
  • Understanding of  quality and production procedures and practices
  • Understanding of time factors used in construction of complex tooling, molds, and production of metal parts
  • Thorough understanding and application of the safety procedures to be used in the Plastic injection molding environment
  • Skill in effective negotiations
  • Skill in compiling data for and generating a variety of reports related to operations management
  • Skill in developing and monitoring a business plan for production
  • Skill in developing an operations budget
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated skill in making presentations to groups of people
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to deal effectively with personnel at all levels within an organization
  • Ability and willingness to work hours outside of the typically scheduled hours which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability and willingness to respond to emergencies which may occur in any area of the production process
  • Ability and willingness to travel as requested or required
